Dil Bechara

"Janam kab lena hai aur marna kab hai yeh hum decide nehi kar sakte, lekin kaise jeena hai woh toh hum decide kar sakte hai"

~ Sushant Singh Rajput, Dil Bechara~

As the country mourns the death of Sushant Singh Rajput, a strange pain and griefs rises in all of our hearts. We have lost another jewel in our film industry this year. His demise has left us all shocked and also brought out the dark shades of the glamorous industry.

He was young, the finest actor, gem of a person, had fame and money but what went wrong? Only he knows. Sushant's career growth was very personal for many of those. I remember seeing him in Pavitra Rishta, playing a role of Manav Deshmukh- A conventional nice person not only in reel life but also in real life. His infectious smile when he removed the dupatta from his face, in the promo of Pavitra Rishta. From small screen to reality shows to movies- From Kai Po che to Dil becahara, what a remarkable journey! A small town boy with so many aspirations became our inspiration. One can't forget his portrayal of former Indian cricket team captain MS Dhoni in Neeraj Pandey's 2016 blockbuster. No one could have done it with perfection as he did with so much ease. After all, Just like Dhoni, Sushant came from a small town and remained humble even after achieving success.

He left us all with many sentiments locked up in his heart and made us all question on our inner selves. We all are in haste of attaining success, fame, money all the namesake things in our lives that we forget to give time to ourselves, our inner selves. We run behind materialistics things and leave behind our inner selves.

We forget that it is not our lives who needs to be nurtured but ourselves to be nurtured. It is not only the glamorous world but every individual breathing that needs to stop running behind the false personality of status. No one can help you if you don't want to help yourself. As Dino James once said "Kehne ko sab saath hai par akele ladni hai mere bhai tujhe ye laadi".

How many times we do things which our heart yearns for? How many times do we talk to our loved ones? How many of us give time to ourselves?  How many times do we thank everyone in our life for being there? Do we appreciate the things we have in our lives? The answer is “No” in many cases, but yes exceptions are there and these exceptions are created when we befriend with our inner selves and do not fall for the darkness which we are surrounded by us.

I request that we all watch his last movie Dil Bechara on 24 July, 2020 and remember Sushant for who he was!
